For the 2020-2021 school year, Central is excited to welcome the rising 6th graders from Burroughs, Emerson, Academy Central, Tisdale, and Mark Twain to the school. Incoming students will have the access to all the great things Central has to offer.
At Central Junior High School, students can:
- Engage in creative, productive self-expression through dance, poetry, visual arts, or music and connect with the larger community through art;
- Build strong, meaningful relationships with teachers and staff who are committed to supporting them academically, socially, and emotionally; and
- Prepare for success in college, careers, and life following a century-old tradition of excellence.
Central’s fine and performing arts program includes thirty-eight courses and features four levels of dance. Student can hone their skills with modern dance, ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. For student athletes, Central offers basketball, soccer, football, cheerleading, track, and pom.
From speech and debate to fashion design, Central has learning experiences that meet the needs and interests of young scholars from all walks of life.

The leadership team is looking forward to welcoming students to the 6th-8th grade middle school next year. Students and families will be invited to attend “Open House” events at Central in the early spring.
