Central provides its students with a personalized learning model where students are able to articulate what they are learning and why they are learning it.

At Central, students have an opportunity to engage in productive self-expression through dance, poetry, visual arts, or music and connect with the larger community through art. They are able to build strong, meaningful relationships with teachers and staff who are committed to supporting them academically, socially and emotionally. They also prepare for success in college and careers.

Central's Magnet for Fine and Performing Arts offers nearly 40 fine arts courses and combines business and the arts. Because decision making, finance, and emerging technologies are important to arts management, students in the Arts Production and Management program learn skills in grant-writing, fundraising, communication, marketing and more.

Students at Central can learn a variety of performing arts, including acting, creative writing, graphic design, music recording and more. Students can also participate in athletic programs.

Through a long-standing tradition of excellence, Central students develop into strong leaders who know how to advocate for themselves, pursue their passions and interests, and work toward academic, personal and social success.
