Michele Clancy is the 2025-2026 Central High School Teacher of the Year!
Michele joined Team Tulsa in 2007 and has worked as an art teacher at Central Middle School for four years.
What led you to a career in education?
It’s a bit of a long story, but basically, I was promised that I would never be bored, and I never have been.
What is your favorite thing about your work?
I get to be creative everyday, and I get to teach kids to love art as much as I do. I live for those moments when a kid creates an art piece that goes beyond what they thought they could do.
What is one thing you are passionate about outside of teaching?
I love to write, learn new things, obviously, I love making art, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
Is there anything else you would like to share?
I just wrote a book called Creepy Creatures of Christmas.
